Decision-making systems are everywhere. Examples include Fog Computing, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Content Centric Networking, Self-Driving Car, and Chess-Playing Computer System. Despite several existing results, the research on interaction of information, learning and decision is still at an early stage.
2018 ShanghaiTech Workshop on Information, Learning and Decision (SWILD 2018) provides an opportunity for both researchers and practitioners in decision-making systems, networking, information theory, signal processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, optimization and statistics to present their results.

The speakers of SWILD 2018 are world-class experts in information, learning and decision. The audience will mostly be young faculty members, post-doctoral researchers, graduate students, and final year undergraduate students in related fields from China and the Asian Pacific region.
SWILD 2018 is organized and sponsored by the School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) at ShanghaiTech University. ShanghaiTech University is jointly founded by Shanghai Municipal Government and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2013, and aims to be a top world-class academic research institution.
